Last year I had the pleasure of frequently transporting the Scratch Perverts to gigs all around England & Wales. We've been everywhere together, here, there, and we even once met a deer on the way back from Bristol.
On these long journeys up and down roads like this one there are service stations where you can stop for an over-priced coffee and a stale sandwich. But I began to notice that just about every one of these service stations has a bouncy ball vending machine. So
I began to buy one every time we stopped. I got to know which service stations had them for 50p and which ones had them at a ridiculous £1. I used to pretend to forget to stop at those ones, which resulted in Tony Vegas nearly weeing himself as we drove 20 more miles to the '50p vending machine' services.
So here some of them are. Quite a few didnt make it home after being bounced away into a corner of a car park or eaten by Primecuts.
Which one is your favourite? . . .
Clear
Check out Nemo, some dolphins making love and a squirrel in a wreath.
Marble
Funky mad marble. The most common, always got doubles/triples of these and threw them into the road-side forests for animals to play with.
Crazy Pattern
Check out the matt finish speckled and some Nu Rave flavours.
Glitter
Kind of crazy sparkly/glittery/kira kira filled.
Plain
Good basic solid colours.
Special
Always the hardest to get. See the crazy purple and black horror face, the 2006 World Cup Germany and weird green thing. The plain one doesn't look special but when you bounce it, it lights up red and plays a Christmas song!!! I was so happy that night.
Sports
I remember one week when all the pool balls were stocked into the vending machines. Everywhere had them, but I had to wait a while before they got to the bottom.
