manhattan sunday

Had a couple of hours free before my flight so had another potter around Man-hat-tan.

Neigbourhood cat (3 legs).

Neighbourhod cleaners.

Streetz artz kooooool

I never liked Kieth Harring's work back in the 80's. As a young kid I remember not liking the shapes and characters, they did nothing for me. Even recently as his work has been brought into the spot light once again, I'd get the same un-inspiring feeling, until I saw this piece. It just oozed such a good vibe and I liked the way it shitted on anything else on the streets. No-one was looking at that mega-bucks Grand Theft Auto poster advert above it.

Got some last minute shopping in courtesy of the Economy Candy shop. Those extreme sour Warheads are the first sour sweets to actually make me cry. Seriously good.

Couldn't help but be sucked in by Kermit. I think it was all the street signs and stoops making me remeniss about Sesame Street.

Anyway, nice place New York, until I lost my wallet. But thats another story.

manhattan saturday

So after a week of work I was able to enjoy a Saturday strolling around the Big Apple...
After an hour bus journey down through Jersey, the iconic thin crusted island with big fallic buildings came into view.

The weather was 'goijus' so I got me a 'kwoffee' and had a walk around Central Park.

Cloverfield but without the big monster and CGI carnage.

Headed downtown... found a not so portable, portable play station.

Adidas originals had my main man C-Law's shoes in stock. Go on!

The location of the cover for the Beastie Boys 1989 album 'Pauls Boutique'. The spot is now a cafe called 'Three Monkey's'. Hmm... that some kind of reference to them??

Had some quality meaty lunch with Dave from none other than 'Dave's Quality Meat' sneaker store on East 3rd street. Dave's a mans man, he knows about meat, bikes, sneakers and women, and meat.

A lamp post getting fierce competition from a window pane in a poem sell-off.

Evening started setting in and I got back to the Empire State building just in time for sunset. Unfortunately the queue for the top was loooooong. But whatever, I aint no tourist, pfff.

A final stroll by the river sealed my pleasant day in the city which I'm beginning to warm to. New Yoik City.

how y'all doin

Easy peeps. Sorry for lack of posting but been away without means of uploading.
So I just went to New Jersey (U.S) last week to take some pics at Sony for HMX Media. Sony and the hotel were situated on a large trading estate in the middle of no-where. The nearest town was 40 minutes walk away. Needless to say though, I did walk there to avoid the boredom of my hotel room and to also check out mundane things like street signs, houses and traffic lights, which when you are in a foreign country appear all the more attractive and interesting. I do love American street signs though, the fonts and colours used are just so much better. Just check out the 'drug free school' sign, just brilliant.

kela in vilnius

Kela rocked Vilnius, Lithuanina with Skeletrik and Andy Knowles. You had to be there. Weirdest party ever. Included CS gas. Here's some of the blood:

Some of us were happy though, and I found time to molest Kela with my main man Garo. And that flight case maybe once belonged to Kurt Cobain. That's a possible fact.

Time to go for a walk and pretend to be in Rio

Sampling the local cuisine...

...except that real men eat two of the things.

And finally we got back to the airport, thanks to Mantini...

Anyway, thanks Lee, you did us proud, Vilnius loves ya. This photo makes me feel passionately patriotic for more than one country:
