Last night I was sitting here at my computer when I heard a massive BANG! from outside. When I went out the front I saw across the road a car had gone straight through a brick wall! The car had gone up the grass verge, across the pavement, smashed through the wall and hit the house, throwing bricks through the downstairs windows with it. Many people rushed over to help the one lucky lady who managed to walk from her car . . . but not quite walk in a straight line because she was drunk.
Apparently she had been at a friends dinner party and had been drinking, then went home and drank some more, finished off that and then decided to go to Tesco's in her car to get some more! Then of course she found out that was a shit idea as she lost control of her car and tried to do an 'A-Team' though my opposite neighbours wall.

I wanted to take photos that night of the car in situ, but it was dark and I felt very self-conscious with my camera flash as well as insensitive as the lady was there with the ambulance. Consider the broken wall as an index of the car's impact upon it... or something like that.

crikey, had a bit of a heavy night on Saturday... Started of at 333 where I DJ'd before The Super Milkmen

Pretty young girls in the place...

I then went to Fabric for an after-party. There are no pics from there because I was too busy drinking myself silly and generally offending nerds.

Next thing I know I was in a car going to Marie's house with Maxim, I know this because there are photo's of it...

I don't understand how but I remember there being more drinks at Maries house which would have been rude to not consume.

Eventually the violins had to come out.

I think I left at about 9am voicing a delightful 'fuck off' as I staggered off down the street with a bag of records and mascara on my face. I must have managed to get on a bus and a train because the next thing I remember was waking up 2 stops past my station. Sunday was a feast of hell with sick and the realisation that at some point at Maries I had gone online and changed my name officially to 'Jeff Fu-J Paul Marie Maxim Toshi Okonomiyaki Metal'.

For those that don't know, the crisp manufacturer Walkers, or 'LAYS' as it's know in mainland Europe, did a competition for the public to come up with a new flavour of crisp for them. These are the six finalists...
Cajun Squirrel
Onion Bhaji
Crispy Duck & Hoisin
Chilli & Chocolate
Fish & Chips
Builders Breakfast

Myself and Primecuts decided to taste test all of them. Here's our verdict...

First up, Cajun Squirrel...
Weird combination. Absolutely disgusting. Tasted like moss on a old tree. Totally pointless. Hardly any Cajun spice, maybe a little tangy like a nettle. Rubbish.

Let's try onion Bhaji...
Completely boring. Similar to Cheese & Onion flavour but with no cheese and less onion. There was a slight aroma of Indian spices but not enough to interest us at all.

Next up, Crispy Duck and Hoisin...
Loads of Hoisin flavour, but a bit lacking in duck. Quacking average.

Time for some chilli and chocolate...
Chocolate flavour was very strange, very flowery, like someone sprayed them with perfume... Chilli really kicked in after a few seconds! An interesting mixture but really could have been done better.

Fish & Chips...
I think they should have called this one 'Fish and Vinegar'. I mean, you already have chips in there - crisps are friend up cooked potatoes - ie chips. Bit of a cop out. To be honest if I want to eat fish and chips I'll go and buy fish and chips, not some crisps with a weak flavour.

Finally Builders Breakfast...
Now these are some serious crisps. It's like a different person was in charge of doing the flavour for this one. Initially on Primecuts opening the packet I got a big whiff of egg, but this may just have been him farting. When I tasted them, boy were they good. Again I tasted egg at first but then almost immediately after I tasted bacon and then after munching for a bit I got tomato. And not just plan tomato but fried tomato. These are some special crisps, they really are a whole plate of greasy spoon fry up. I don't understand how they can flavour these up to release the different elements like that. These are ruly special and definitely our winner!

So overall pretty disappointing. It's as though Walkers are scared to apply strong flavour, most of them were so bland, we were expecting a real punch in the mouth. Hopefully Builders Breakfast will win, that shit is incredible.

20:48 leave college and fast walk through the underpass to the tube station.

20:51 lift is at about to go, jump in... come out the lift, realise a train has just arrived, run up and down the stairs and jump in the train just as the doors close behind me.

20:57 arrive at London Bridge tube, doors open to optimum exit route, up stairs, walk up long escalator, out the barriers, cross the station, run up the escalators to mainline station.

20:59 run up platform tunnel to platform concourse, train is waiting.

21:00 on train

I look like crap, but you do not realise how happy I am.

At this time of evening my train only runs once every 30 minutes. Normally if I try to make this effort to get my train it fails and then I wait 30 minutes for the next one, I'm all worn out for no point. But this time I made it, the relief and satisfaction is immense, soon I will be home.

Moral: Do more interesting things with your life than run for trains.

I've recently been transferring all old stuff from PC to Mac, and found a load of old clips shot with my G9. Here's one where I demonstrate the glow in the dark ink on a Mysterious Al logo t-shirt. Bear in mind at the time of shooting this I had owned the t-shirt for over a year and washed it many many times.

The other day I got a package from J-J-J-Japan. Inside was this super nice t-shirt by Rezon.

Comes with 3D glasses and 3D card graphics. The t-shirt graphic isn't actually 3D - what you do is, with the glasses on, cover one eye to see the hand making the classic 'peace' sign, or cover the alternate eye to see the classic 'up yours' hand gesture.

Simple, punchy, like it.

Hello people who sometimes pass through and read this blog only to find I haven't updated it. It's called 'captured daily' I really should try and get pics up everyday, hope these few posts make up for it. Had a busy week, some of you may know I became a student again. Just this week I began the MA Photography course at The London College of Communication. IT's going pretty well and I've met some nice people.

On the first day they gave us a bit of free wine, which we then topped up with more free wine at an exhibition, which was then added to with drinks at the local pub. Meet Maxim and Tony (Marie) who hit it off well when she challenged him to a game of pool, claiming she could beat him. Maxim ended up winning and proposed to impregnate her. Nicely done. Real smooth.

They also had a full on fun fair. Outside the House of Fun there was this animated laughing Santa. Even though he was so crap and cheesy he really made me genuinely laugh and I had to be dragged away for concern of me being happy for once.

They had some good classic rides...

I got really into all the coloured lights and designs. Check the green to yellow gradient on the letters and the purple lights. ill. Look at teh 'SleighRide' under that. It's a structure of utter magical beauty! You should see it in motion with all the lights going. I love it.

They had a haunted house... Al you missed out.

At the weekend I was invited to Jo & Kyles place for a Christmassy get together. Had a great time, great soup, great mince pies, great people and best of all was Jojo's home-made mulled wine. Absolute smasher - spicy, fruity, nutty, winey and hot. I think I drank at least a whole pan! Thanks guys! Merry Christmas!
